Default it seems like society treats depression as a light issue.

I have struggled with depression for a long time and realized most people think it is a joke. If someone has a broken leg, would you shun them? I look at treating issues like this as very important and i wish people would become more aware.

I agree. I have had depression and anxiety issues in the past. The best thing for me was finding a doctor who understood what I was saying and prescribed me the right treatment. A combination of medicine and behavioral therapy got me back to feeling like my old self. Now I do not even need the medication. People are just ignorant to things and make assumptions based on their own history.
