Default Short Intense Cardio or Long Low Intense?

I am attempting to lose some bodyfat. I was wondering what cardio would be the best for my goals. I am going to be doing Rippetoe's Routine which has me lifting 3 days a week. I was going to do cardio the other 3 days. I was wondering if high intense cardio for a short time, say 10 minutes a day, would be more beneficial than power walking for 45 minutes?
