The Harris Benedict Formula
The Harris Benedict activity modifer list allows us to calculate total calorie needs by multiplying thay number by your BMR. For example, if your BMR is 1800, while you are lightly active, than you would multiply 1800 x 1.375 to find that you need 2475 calories to remain at your current body weight daily.
Sedentary (little or no exercise) : Calorie-Calculation =
BMR x 1.2
Lightly Active (light exercise) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR
x 1.375
Moderatetely Active (moderate exercise) : Calorie-Calculation
= BMR x 1.55
Very Active (hard exercise) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.725
Extra Active (very hard exercise) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR
x 1.9
